If you want great green beans, they HAVE to start out in paper SPONGEBOB cups! It also helps to have a SUPER cute helper ;)

This is what our little sprout looked like after about one week.
Cute huh?

Once they really started growing, we moved them to a bit bigger pots. Each boy got to color on the pots with sidewalk chalk.
They had a blast :)

This is what greeted us the other morning.
The boys were thrilled to learn that our little plants had beautiful little purple flowers on them.
Now we wait... By the end of April, we should be able to pick and eat our little green beans.
It has been a fun project and we are all excited to start our little outside garden once the weather warms up a little more :)
